I believe the Detroit Lions will have a winning record this season. The real question is: what will their final record be?
There’s no doubt that the Lions have one of the easier schedules in the NFL this year, which could play a major role in boosting their overall win total. My prediction is that Detroit finishes the regular season 14–3, with a ceiling of 16–1.
So, why do I have so much confidence in this team?
The biggest challenge on the schedule, in my opinion, is the Buffalo Bills. The Lions have struggled against Buffalo in recent years, and whenever these two teams meet, it feels like a game you can almost guarantee will turn into a high-scoring shootout. Outside of Buffalo, I don't see many teams on Detroit's schedule that are significantly more complete or talented than the Lions.
Detroit also benefits from playing several teams that have historically struggled against them, while others have gotten weaker due to major roster moves, injuries, or offseason changes.
Of course, the Lions aren't without concerns. There are some current questions in the defensive backfield that need to be answered. However, I believe the offense is as complete and as healthy as it could be heading into the season. Defensively, Detroit may be missing a few key players, but they've added replacements who I believe can step up and keep this unit competitive.
When you put everything together—the roster, the schedule, the coaching, and the overall talent—I believe the Lions have a legitimate opportunity to make a deep playoff run.

Regular Season: 14–3
Ceiling: 16–1
NFC North: Champions
NFC Championship: Lions win
Super Bowl: Lions win
I’m predicting the Detroit Lions to win the NFC North, win the NFC Championship, and ultimately win the Super Bowl in 2026.
